{"id":5843,"date":"2023-03-30T16:37:51","date_gmt":"2023-03-30T14:37:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/federtec.it\/?page_id=5843"},"modified":"2025-07-04T17:54:30","modified_gmt":"2025-07-04T15:54:30","slug":"federtec-sector","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/federtec.it\/?page_id=5843&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"The Sector"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;FEDERTEC&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]FEDERTEC represents the entire production chain of the Italian industry of Mechatronic Technologies and Components for Fluid Power, Power Transmission, Smart Automation and Control of Industrial Products and Processes.<\/p>\n<p>The Federation was created in 2019 from the merger of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/federtec.it\/en\/assiot-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>ASSIOT<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nItalian Association of Gears and Transmission Elements Manufacturers.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/federtec.it\/en\/assofluid-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>ASSOFLUID<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nItalian Association of Manufacturing and Trading Companies in Fluid Power Equipment and Components.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>From April 2022, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/federtec.it\/en\/fndi-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FNDI<\/a><\/strong> (Italian Federation of Industrial Distribution) was also incorporated into FEDERTEC, thus adding a new player to the chain of technologies.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;7294&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;THE FIGURES OF THE SECTOR&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row first_background_type=&#8221;gradient&#8221; first_background_gradient=&#8221;#e2e2e2||#f3f3f3||0;100||180||linear&#8221; type=&#8221;color&#8221; bg_color=&#8221;#f2f2f2&#8243;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_video link=&#8221;https:\/\/youtu.be\/1wXsldjkKIo&#8221; align=&#8221;center&#8221; css=&#8221;&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]The member companies of FEDERTEC represent a leading part of the Italian economy and together, they show very remarkable values, with a global sector turnover exceeding <strong>13.3 billion euro<\/strong> and a national market value of <strong>9.6 billion euro<\/strong> at the end of 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Over 60% of Italian production is exported, corresponding to an amount of <strong>8.1 billion euro<\/strong>, with a significant contribution to the trade balance of the sector, recorded a positive value of <strong>3.7 billion euro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>To have a more accurate view of FEDERTEC figures, these performances that are already outstanding should be added to those of the entire production chain using technologies other than mechanical and fluid -power ones &#8211; among which, first of all, electronic and IT technologies &#8211; to manufacture Components and Mechatronic Systems for Power and Motion Transmission and Control and, more in general, for the Automation of Industrial Products and Processes. The estimated value of the turnover registered by the Italian industry of this macro-sector is over <strong>50 billion euro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The average profitability is high among FEDERTEC members and even more among small-sized and micro enterprises.<\/p>\n<p>The trend of profitability is on the rise and the use of new technologies contributes to optimising production and final costs.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;THE MAIN TARGET FIELDS FOR FEDERTEC&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]Analyzing the outlet markets for the entire power transmission sector, we can see that over 60% of the turnover derives from sales in the Automotive and industrial vehicles, Agricultural Machinery and Earthmoving, Mining and Construction Machinery sectors; a further 10% derives from sales on the markets of Machine Tools, Packaging Machines, Transport and Material Handling and Logistics.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_round_chart type=&#8221;doughnut&#8221;
